Updates to Features and Feedback in the New Dynamics 365 Community

Since the launch of our new community in June, we’ve been excited to be able to respond quickly to feedback from our amazing community members, implementing changes and updates as they come in. Over the last month we have implemented these updates: 
 

  • Editing posts and commentsyou can now edit your own posts and comments.

 

  • Enabled moderator functionalitywe have created a new role that allows members of the community who have reached a certain level to moderate posts, such as removing spam, moving posts, and making minor modifications. 

 

  • Friendly links for group and forum – we can now create friendly URLs to groups and forums, making it easier to remember to remember the URLs to your favorite places within the community.  

 

  • Forum landing page filters and sorting enhancementswith new filter options, it’ll be easier to help find unanswered, suggested, and verified answers; the new sort option for ‘last updated’ threads will also help you stay current as you search. 

 

  • Pagination improvementsyou’ll find improved performance and usability throughout the site. 

 

  • Edit user group and eventsnow, user group leaders can edit their user groups and events  

 

  • FastTrack blogs attachments and in-line videos add file attachments for TechTalk video blogs to enhance what you can share; the in-line video player for TechTalk posts linking to YouTube makes it simpler to view your content. 

 

  • Blog thumbnail images enabledpersonalize your blog post with the ability to choose a specific thumbnail image. 

 

  • User group events search enhancementsyour user group members—or anyone looking for information on your user group events, can more easily search and find what they need with improved usability. 
     

  • Context sensitive searchwe’ve improved your searching with context sensitive search. Now, search queries are first filtered to the forum or blog area where the search is launched; queries can then be expanded from the result page. 

 

  • Quick links region enabled on forum landing pagesfind what you’re looking for more quickly with a new ‘quick links’ region created for the right rail of forum landing pages to display key links for each product.
