Dependencies preventing to push changes from dev to prod environment in Power Apps

Hi all,

We have an application in power apps which includes power automate flows and dataverse tables/data, when trying to deploy from our Dev environment to our Prod environment we are seeing this issue.

After some research we found what the problem is, our dev app is in 2.2.7.0 version like shown in the below image

and in prod the version of the app is 2.1.9.0

This has happened to us before and usually the update for the app in prod is available after a few hours or one or two days, but this time we have been waiting for almost a week now.
My questions are,

is there a way to ignore this dependencies?
is there anything we can do to update the app manually?
is there a way to downgrade the version of the app in dev?

is there some place were we can check the update schedule to know when will the app be updated?

Hoping to find an answear here, thanks.

Luis

Dependencies preventing to push changes from dev to prod environment in Power Apps

    Hi there,

Thanks for sharing the detailed context—this is a common challenge when working with managed solutions and version mismatches across environments.

Here are some suggestions and answers to your questions:

    1. Can you ignore the dependencies?

Unfortunately, no—Power Platform does not allow you to bypass missing dependencies when importing a solution. All required components must be present in the target environment, especially for managed solutions.

    2. Can you manually update the app in Prod?

Yes, you can try updating the app manually via the Power Platform Admin Center:

    • Go to Dynamics 365 Apps in your Prod environment.
    • Locate Microsoft Flow Approvals.
    • If an update is available, you should see an option to update it. If not, it may not have been released to your region yet.

    3. Can you downgrade the version in Dev?

Downgrading a managed solution is not supported. The best workaround is to:

    • Create a new Dev environment with the same version as Prod.
    • Rebuild or export your solution from that environment to ensure compatibility.

    4. Is there a place to check the update schedule?

Microsoft doesn’t publish a detailed schedule for app updates per environment. However, you can:

    • Monitor the Power Platform Release Plans: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/release-plan/
    • Check the Message Center in the Microsoft 365 Admin Center for update announcements.
    • Reach out to Microsoft Support if the delay is impacting your deployment timeline.

Let me know if you'd like help setting up a temporary workaround or tracking the update more closely.

If this answer was helpful, please consider marking it as accepted.
    Best regards,
    Daniele

Looks like solution you are trying to deploy has dependencies of "Approval stage intelligent" which is installed on your dev but not on your prod environment.

Here are some options you can do:

    1) Add missing dependencies into your solution
    2) Upgrade solution on prod - try to upgrade solution on prod which would have that table installed. Raise MS ticket to update if no option coming
    3) Manually remove dependencies - You can remove dependencies manually from solution. Extract solution exported, open solution.xml and navigate around "MissingDependencies" section. Try to find out your missing dependencies and remove only that XML node (Not any other) . Pack solution again and try to import.

Let me know if that helps. Also please make if it helps you resolving your issue.

    Thanks
    Anupam
