Business Central Failed to Create Record VEndor

We are in the process of evaluating SmartConnect for integration into BC.  For now this is purely testing and are using an OData connector.  We have a simple vendor integration that integrated once successfully.  We then deleted the record and attempted to integrate again, but are now getting the following message:
 
Failed to create record. The Vendor does not exist. Identification fields and values: No.='100063823' CorrelationId: 1778d43d-9a7f-4bf2-8bb2-34c7e9cb1b14.
 
 
Of course the record does not exist because we deleted and wanted to re-integrate it.  That said, any thoughts as to why we are getting the error and how to resolve.
 
Please advise.  Look forward to a response.
